Message from the President
Dear CTCC Family,
What a season of growth and connection it has been. I'm delighted to share some of the highlights from recent weeks.
Our reach continued to grow with the Quebec Chapter Kickoff on June 5 — a Dinner on Water event in Old Montreal that drew more than 50 enthusiastic prospective members, most of whom have since officially joined the CTCC family.
We kicked things off with our 4th Annual TVZ Pitch Competition on June 13, hosted in collaboration with CTPA at York University's Markham campus. Over 150 founders, investors, and community leaders came together for a day of live pitches and panel discussions, and we were proud to award six founders — four from Sri Lanka and two from Canada — with cash prizes across our Tech and Non-Tech streams.
That same energy carried into our GRIT Winners Meet & Greet, where we welcomed three remarkable women founders from Sri Lanka, brought to Canada by Ryerson University. Ahalya Ravindran (Natural Roots), Narththanaa Sathiyamoorthy (Journe), and Lavanya Ratnabala (NeuroFleets) showcased their innovative ventures at our business centre — a wonderful chance for our network to explore mentorship and investment opportunities together.
On June 18, we hosted another Men's Mental Health Clinic, featuring Dr. Mayura Loganathan, Dr. Senthuran Gunaratnam, and Percy D'Souza. It was a powerful evening of honest conversation in support of our brothers, fathers, sons, and friends — reaffirming our commitment to a community where no one suffers in silence.
Beyond these signature events, our monthly AI Seminar series and biweekly Speaking Club continue to thrive, giving our members the tools to stay competitive and communicate with confidence.
We closed the quarter on a high note with our 19th Annual Golf Tournament at Deer Creek Golf & Banquet Facility on June 30, where over 125 members enjoyed a day of friendly competition and renewed connections.
None of this would be possible without you. Thank you for continuing to make this Chamber the vibrant, resilient community it is.

Each of these founders walked away with cash prizes to help fuel their ventures forward, and it was inspiring to see the depth of talent and ambition on display from both sides of the Tamil entrepreneurial community.

Men's Mental Health Clinic
Due to popular demand, we proudly hosted another Men's Mental Health Clinic, featuring a panel of distinguished voices dedicated to breaking the stigma and promoting wellness in our community. Our featured speakers included: Dr. Mayura Loganathan (MD, MScCH, CCFP), Dr. Senthuran Gunaratnam from Scarborough Health Network & Percy D'Souza, lived-experience advocate and founder of Grace Wins Peer Support.
19th Annual Golf Tournament
More than 125 members turned out for a day that balanced spirited competition with easygoing networking under the summer sun. Golfers competed for a great lineup of prizes, but the real highlight was the camaraderie on full display — the kind that has become a hallmark of our Chamber. Between reconnecting with familiar faces and forging new friendships, the day was a fitting reminder that our people remain our greatest strength.
