Our chamber continues to be a beacon of unity, resilience, and progress for the Canadian Tamil business community. Together, we have accomplished incredible milestones, forged lasting connections, and contributed to the growth and success of our members’ businesses. As we look forward, let us build on these achievements and explore new paths for innovation and collaboration.

The past year has reaffirmed the power of adaptability and the strength of community. Through challenges, our members have demonstrated unparalleled resilience and creativity. It is this same spirit of perseverance that will guide us in embracing change, driving growth, and thriving in an ever-evolving business environment.

As we embark on this journey together, I encourage every one of you to engage actively with the chamber—whether by attending our events, sharing your expertise, or voicing your ideas. Your participation is vital in shaping the future of our community, and I am confident that our collective efforts will propel us toward even greater achievements.

This month, as we celebrate the harvest festival of Thai Pongal and Tamil Heritage Month , I extend my heartfelt wishes to all members of our community observing this vibrant and meaningful occasion. May the festival bring abundance, joy, and unity to you and your families.

1st QM and Thai Pongal Celebration

On January 15th, the Canadian Tamils’ Chamber of Commerce (CTCC) hosted its annual Thai Pongal Celebration and 1st Quarterly Meeting at the CTCC Business Centre. The event brought our community together to celebrate the harvest festival and outline the chamber’s plans for an exciting and productive 2025.

The celebration was graced by Special Guest, Minister Vijay Thanigasalam, who delivered an inspiring message highlighting the importance of community collaboration and progress. Attendees were treated to vibrant cultural performances that captured the essence of the festival, followed by delicious traditional Thai Pongal delicacies.

During the official 1st Quarterly Meeting, the President shared key updates and achievements:

• Successful Community Events: The President Ari announced the success of recent initiatives such as the Community Forum,  AI Training, Christmas Mixer, and other impactful programs that have brought immense value to members.
• Sponsorship Announcements: A special acknowledgment was given to the sponsors who have already committed their support for the year. Their contributions play a crucial role in helping the chamber achieve its goals.
• Budget Presentation for 2025: Key financial priorities were shared, ensuring transparency and alignment with the chamber’s vision.
• Important Discussions: Members explored the New Operations Policy, celebrated the achievements of TVZ Programs, and discussed the exciting potential of purchasing the adjacent Unit 3 to expand the CTCC Business Centre.

The meeting was a productive and inspiring start to the year, reinforcing CTCC’s commitment to innovation, growth, and fostering community connections.
